The Gaykin

Is he outing himself on QVC via his new song? Could Woz's ex gal pal be right!? You be the judge. Lyacs and video below.
[via Towleroad]

The lyrics:

Foolish heart looks like we’re here again
Same old game of plastic smile
Don’t let anybody in
Hiding my heartache, will this glass house break
How much will they take before I’m empty
Do I let it show, does anybody know?

[Chorus:]
But you see the real me
Hiding in my skin, broken from within
Unveil me completely
I’m loosening my grasp
There’s no need to mask my frailty
Cause you see the real me

Painted on, life is behind a mask
Self-inflicted circus clown
I’m tired of the song and dance
Living a charade, always on parade…

Koninginnedag

People who use Apple products are too cool for nails

I saw this a few weeks ago and had a good laugh. Then it made it's way back to me this morning, and I thought I would share. I need to run out and get my nails done.

My Inbox Zero Story

One of my resolutions this year was to keep a clean desk and a clean inbox. Actually, it was to keep an clean desk and an empty inbox. I have been using Inbox Zero to help me take care of the latter. You may have noticed that I have been tracking my progress at work with JoesGoals. If you have been following my progress on the widget at the right, you'll notice that I have been occasionally reaching zero (sometimes twice in one day!) but only at my work inbox. Well, I am proud to say that I finally hit zero in my personal e-mail account! It took some time and effort (not as much as some), but I am finally there. I have posted a lengthy, but possibly life-changing video about how you, too, can free yourself from the shackles of living in your inbox. Enjoy, and let me know how you deal with your e-mail.

Read me on your phone!

I just started using a free web app called MoFuse. It allows you to read my blog from your phone! Currently Blogger doesn't allow for my site to automatically redirect you to a mobile version (like some sites do). If you want to view this blog on your phone, click the Mobile Version button at the top.

I Heart Idol

No music group owes Guitar Hero a greater debt of gratitude than Heart. Had millions of kids not 'strummed' their heart's out to Heart's Barracuda (including this eight year old), they might have had the opportunity the did last night - performing with Fergie on Idol Gives Back. It was a great performance. Check out the clip below.

A penny for your dots

That's all they were paid - $.01, yet 10,000 people participated in this project to "explore the circumstances we live in, a new and uncharted combination of digital labor markets, "crowdsourcing," "virtual economies," and digital reproduction."

It is funny some people chose to represent their section of the Benja'man. Check out the video below for more info and here for an interactive bill.

Scribd

Sorry for the absence this week - ACPA was in town and I was visiting with friends. And when I say visiting, I mean drinking until the wee hours of the morning and then attempting to go to work the next day. Shampoo, rinse and repeat. I did manage to find a neat, new technology for a project at work - Scribd. I used it below to display all the Hot Gay Joe reports of 2008. Pretty neat, hua? If you can't read microscopic type, just click the full screen button in the upper right corner for a better view. You can zoom, download, print and even click on the links. It even has Grandma Bechely's Corned Beef and Cabbage recipe.
